Two Graduate Students Awarded Scholarship from AWWA

Kelsey Bicknell and James Fluke are water resources engineering graduate students working with Dr. Ricardo Gonzalez-Pinzon. Kelsey received the American Water Works Association (AWWA) Woodard & Curran Scholarship, and James received the AWWA Holly A. Cornell Scholarship. These scholarships will support Kelsey's research on the Food, Energy, Water nexus and James' research on the Dynamics of Bacterial Growth and Decay in Rivers.

The Woodard & Curran Scholarship (Kelsey’s award) encourages and supports outstanding female masters' students in pursuit of training in the field of water treatment.

The Holly A. Cornell Scholarship (James’s award), sponsored by CH2M, encourages and supports outstanding minority masters' students in pursuit of advanced training in the field of water supply and treatment.
