Statement of Inclusion

Our Center strives to promote access to education with equal assistance and opportunities for all people from all countries of origin, faiths, and ethnicities. We aim to make everyone feel welcome and encouraged to reach their personal, professional and community goals. We are aware of existing gender and racial disparities in STEM education and, thus, work to foster a more inclusive community. Our students, staff and faculty understand that our fundamental mission is to provide access to world-class education and research opportunities for our students and collaborators. We believe that a crucial factor in meeting this mission is community diversity. Thus, we take pride in the breadth of background of our current community, which includes members from around New Mexico, multiple states in the U.S. and countries representing all continents on Earth, and seek to continue to foster and expand this diversity. Our Center is varied, multicultural and will continue to prosper while embracing integrity, kindness, respect and empathy.  Welcome to the Center for Water and the Environment, a world-class leader with local and global awareness!
