Student places first in lightning round
October 28, 2020

Taylor Busch, an undergraduate in the BS in Civil Engineering program, won first place for her two-minute lightning round presentation at the New Mexico Alliance for Minority Participation (AMP) Virtual Conference sponsored by the National Science Foundation on Friday, October 9, 2020. Taylor successfully presented and answered questions from the audience and judges about her research related to investigating the role of fungi on arsenic uptake in plants.
Taylor is also Co-President of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) – New Mexico section.
