Profile

My research involves multidisciplinary components of science and engineering, i.e., hydrology, hydraulics, ecology, chemistry and computational modeling. In our Ecohydrology Research Lab, we investigate interactions among solute transport, metabolism and nutrient processing in groundwater and stream ecosystems. We develop and use methods aimed at advancing ecohydrology, ecohydraulics, civil engineering and biosystems engineering.

Teaching Interests

  • Hydrologic systems
  • Mass and energy transport in the environment
  • Hydraulics
  • Computational modeling in hydrology

Research Interests

  • Hydrologic transport
  • Stream ecology and smart tracers
  • Groundwater-surface water interactions
  • Mathematical and computational modeling
