Sydney Donohue joined the Center for Water and the Environment team in 2020 after teaching sustainability, gardening, and environmental science to middle and high school students at The Mountain Retreat and Learning Center in Highlands, North Carolina and more recently, here in New Mexico at Albuquerque Academy. Donohue received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Ecology from the University of Georgia and her Master's degree at the University of New Mexico in Water Resources. Her work aims to increase knowledge, excitement, and change in water resources and environmental engineering in K-16 settings. Her research disciplines include science communication and engineering education. She is driven to create an inviting community where diversity is celebrated in STEM, and she is enthusiastic about the impact that hands-on, environmental outreach can have on creating a better future.
